The SILS meeting aims to provide a forum for scientists, young researchers and students, interested in synchrotron radiation research. The meeting welcomes contributions for oral and poster presentations, that will be selected for open sessions and symposia. Specific sessions will be devoted to the following topics:

• Advanced Radiation Sources & Application
• Structural Biology with X-rays and electrons
• In-situ and in-operando studies
• Functional Materials

The meeting is hosted by the IC-CNR and University of Bari, chairman of the conference C. Giannini (Bari) and A. Di Cicco (Camerino)
